Many debtors only pay when they receive a demand for payment from a debt collection agency. Our correspondence to debtors is designed to inform them that you are serious about debt recovery. Debtors are given a reasonable deadline in which to settle before the possibility of legal proceedings. Our approach is firm but fair and in accordance with all guidelines issued in relation to fair debt recovery practice.

Credit Collections (UK) Ltd is also a member of the Credit Services Association (CSA) and many of our debt recovery staff are members of the Institute of Credit Management, thus assuring you we are professional in our approach to debt recovery and always operate to the very highest ethical standards.

Our aim is to have a secured agreement with the debtor to clear the debt by the deadline provided. Depending upon the outcome of our negotiations we can determine whether further debt recovery procedures will be required.

In order to optimise your chances of successful debt recovery, we ensure a constant evaluation process of the debt in question. Additional information in relation to your debtor is actively sought. We endeavour to obtain mobile telephone numbers, email addresses, alternative addresses and to also resolve any queries the debtor may raise so as to speed up the debt recovery process and secure your payment.

At Credit Collections (UK) Ltd we do not believe in the automatic referral of debt recovery matters for legal action. Credit Collections (UK) Ltd will only recommend legal action if we believe it will be successful, thus saving you the possibility substantial court costs and the possibility of not being able to enforce Judgments obtained in relation to non recoverable debts.

However, should the need arise, Credit Collections (UK) Ltd will instigate debt recovery proceedings via County Court, High Court, Bankruptcy or Winding-up on your behalf via our in house Legal Department. We administer proceedings, make or arrange for the necessary appearances in Court, and most importantly keep you fully advised of developments and legal costs to ensure a cost effective debt recovery legal service.
